Wedding Location Suggestions for Intimate Outdoor Weddings

El Paso is lucky to have one of the most beautiful natural settings for outdoor weddings almost year round.  This list of suggestions is for weddings of 20 guests or less.  While some don?t require a permit if you intend on hosting a gathering or reception after the ceremony Marry Me In El Paso recommends that you contact the City Parks and Recreation or the State Park Ranger in order to inquire about any permits or permissions necessary for your specific wedding. 

Desert Botanical Gardens-Located near Doniphan and Sunland Park Dr. the botanical gardens has the perfect desert landscape for an outdoor desert inspired wedding.  The gardens are available for rent for a fee details can be found at http://www.elpasobotanicalgardens.org/,

Wyler Tramway- The Wyler Aerial Tramway at Franklin Mountains State Park features an aerial cable car situated on 195.742 acres of rugged mountain and rock formations on the east side of the Franklin Mountains.  Couples can request permission to be married atop Ranger Peak by paying the $7 dollar per person fee to ride the gondolas up the mountain.  NO ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED. The park allows up to 20 visitors including bride, groom, officiant and guests.  Wedding must not interfere with the parks daily operations.  This is perfect for a small intimate wedding or an elopement. 

Mundy Park-Located in the historic Sunset Heights area near downtown El Paso.  Mundy Park has a small gazebo adorning a sweet little park off of Porfirio Diaz and W. Yandell.  This is a city park and NO ALCOHOL is allowed the quiet area is perfect for an elopement or ceremony of 10 people or less.

Franklin Mountains State Park is a Texas state park in El Paso, Texas in the United States. It is at an elevation of 5,426 feet (1,654 m).[1] It is the largest urban park in the nation lying completely within city limits, covering 24,247.56 acres (9,813 ha).[2] Franklin Mountains State Park is open for year-round recreation including hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and scenic driving and vistas. The west facing area on Transmountain road at sunset is ideal for an elopement or small ceremony.  NO ALCOHOL is allowed this area is very transited but is a good location for photos at sunset or an early morning ceremony of 20 guests or less.

El Paso Municipal Rose Gardens located on Copia St. in Central El Paso the rose gardens feature hundreds of varieties and a tented area in which to hold small daytime weddings.  The gardens are not open year round and there is a small fee associated with using the venue. 

Tom Lea Park-Nestled located on Rim Rd. this small park features a view of northeast, central, and downtown El Paso.  Just above El Paso High School this park is ideal for an elopement or small intimate wedding.  This is a city park NO ALCOHOL allowed.
